Registration Process

The registration process for FSM Exede is straightforward and can be completed after completing the FSM system training. Once you have completed the training, you can proceed to the FSM Exede login page at https://www.exede.com/FSM/.

Form Completion

On the FSM Exede login page, you will find a registration form that needs to be completed in order to create your account. It is important to note that every person in the dealership will have a unique FSM account, so every person needing access to FSM needs to complete the registration form.

Account Creation

After completing the registration form, it can take up to 48 hours for the new FSM account to be created. During this time, the information provided on the form will be validated by the FSM administrator. If there are any issues or questions about completing the form, you can contact the Partner Support team at 888-278-6829.

Adding Installers to HSP Installation Network

It is important to note that the registration form should not be used to add installers to a HSP installation network. If you need to add installers to your HSP installation network, you should follow the appropriate process for doing so.

Selecting User Roles

When completing the registration form, you will be prompted to select a user role that best fits your job function within the dealership. The available user roles include:

  • National Retail User: Select this option if you are a National Retail Self-Installing Dealer and need access to your work orders under your National Retail account.
  • Dispatcher: Select this option if you are a Self-Installing Dealer and perform dealership job functions such as owner, sales agent, or order scheduler/dispatcher.
  • Installer: Select this option if you are an installer working in a Self-Installing Dealership.
  • Sales Only User: Select this option if you are a Sales Only Dealer and perform dealership job functions such as owner or sales agent.

Multiple Accounts for Dealership Owners

If you are a dealership owner who is also an installer, you will have two separate accounts in FSM - one for the Dealer Role and one for the Installer Role. This means that you will need to complete two separate registration forms, one for each role.

Choosing User Roles for Installers

For installers working in a Self-Installing Dealership, you will have the option to choose between the Dispatcher or Installer User Role. Select the role that best aligns with your job function within the dealership.

Technician Installer ID

When completing the registration form, you will be asked to select the appropriate choice (contractor or employee) and enter your Technician Installer ID. If you haven't already memorized your 8-digit Technician Installer ID, you can log in to Viasat Discover at https://bbs.viasatdiscover.com/learn to retrieve it.

Submitting the Form

After filling out all the required fields on the registration form, click the Submit button to submit your form for review and processing. Any missing fields will result in a message indicating the missing information.

Validation and Approval

Once you have submitted the registration form, a request will be sent to FSMAdministrator@viasat.com to validate the information provided. The FSM administrator will review the form and ensure that all the information is accurate and complete. If there are any issues or discrepancies, a denial email will be sent to the primary contact for the requested SI Office, providing details as to the reason for denial.

Credentials Distribution

Upon approval of your registration form, the FSM administrator will send the credentials to the primary contact for the requested SI Office. It will then be the responsibility of the office to distribute the credentials to the appropriate users within the dealership.
